ST. GEORGE – Motorists will now be able to drive a little faster – and legally at that – down certain roads in St. George.

The St. George Police Department announced Friday that the speed limits on 3050 East, Mall Drive and 1450 South at its east end have been increased to 40 mph.

Other roads with raised speed limits include:

  • Horseman Park Road at its east end to a new roadway at 3000 East is now 35 mph.
  • 450 North between 3050 East and 2450 East has been bumped to 30 mph.

The Police Department encourages motorists to drive safely and pay attention to the posted speed limits.

Yeah….let’s keep increasing the speed limits as it’s already working so well with auto accidents huh? What a bunch of BS….oh well, when you hit me? The first thing I’ll do is subpoena your cell phone records, then I’ll take your house

Great job…hope you consider raising St George Boulevard to 35 mph.

That’s because no one EVER drives 35 or under on Mall drive by the bridge. If you try to you get an SUV up your tailpipe. The police just couldn’t sit there.and write tickets all day. But it means that everyone will be driving 45+, so trying to get out of the new Smiths safely should be lots of fun.
