Shirlene Teresa Copeland Joiret, 79, returned to her heavenly home on June 5, 2018. Shirlene was born April 4, 1939, to Shirley and Alvera Carlson Copeland. She married Thurman ‘Bud’ Joiret on Oct. 27, 1956, in Carson City, Nevada.
Shirlene was born in Midvale, Utah, and raised in Northern California where she spent most of her life. Upon retirement she relocated to Ivins, Utah. Shirlene had a great love for her Ivins home and community where she wishes to be laid to rest.
Family was Shirlene’s greatest joy. Her unconditional love, support and devotion was ever present (especially a great admiration for her big brother Russell).
Shirlene was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who is loved dearly and will be missed by all.
Shirlene is survived by her children: Diana Stauffer (Bill), Kenneth Joiret (Julie) and Russell Joiret (LeeAnna); brother Russell Copeland (Patricia); eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services
- A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 14, at 10 a.m. at the Ivins Cemetery.
