Elks lodge hosts veterans Christmas party, seeks gifts for ‘Veterans Christmas Tree’

ST. GEORGE – The Dixie Elks Lodge located at 630 W. 1250 N. in St. George is hosting a free Christmas party for military veterans, active military personnel and their families Monday.

The event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. There will be food and entertainment provided by the Nisson Brothers. Santa Claus will pay a special visit to the children at the party as well.

The Elks Lodge is also sponsoring a “Veterans Christmas Tree.” Anyone who is interested in participating can visit the Elks Lodge and choose a star from the tree and help fulfill the Christmas wish of a veteran.

Participants in the Veterans Christmas Tree should make sure the star is attached to the present. All presents should be returned to the Elks Lodge by Dec. 15. Presents will be delivered Dec. 6.
