ST. GEORGE – The Utah premiere of the groundbreaking film “Wild Ways: Corridors of Life” is set for Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the Electric Theater, 68 E. Tabernacle St., in St. George.
The film is presented by Wildlands Network, First Light Films, and Conserve Southwest Utah and will be followed by a discussion with the film’s director and other experts.
Wildlands Network is currently working to implement wildlife corridors locally and nationally where species such as mule deer, elk, pronghorn, and cougar can roam safely.
Wild Ways is a groundbreaking film about the challenges of preserving biodiversity on an ever-more-crowded planet.
While national parks and preserves offer some protection, even the magnificent Serengeti and Yellowstone parks have become islands of nature in a human-dominated landscape.
This isolation means extinction for wildlife unless more space is shared with wildlife.
Wild Ways demonstrates how species can be preserved by linking wildlife refuges with safe highway crossings and protected land corridors.
