Pianist Jame Oneil Miner performs at Tabernacle

ST. GEORGE – Popular pianist, composer and entertainer James Oneil Miner, his wife Tamera and their daughter, and local music educator Melesa Miner Kohler, will share their talents and testimonies at a gathering at the St. George Tabernacle on Friday evening, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m.

Throughout his lengthy career, the internationally known piano man has performed in Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Japan and 41 of the 50 United States.

His repertoire includes several hundred songs and comprises music from classical to Christian, country to patriotic and Broadway to movie soundtracks. He has also released 16 albums and his performances often include imitations of famous piano artists such as Liberace, Marvin Hamlish and Roger Williams.

James Oneil Miner completed his bachelor’s degree in political science and English, then went on to earn a master’s degree in public administration and organizational behavior at Brigham Young University.

Tamera Miner also attended BYU, then when the couple’s five children were in school she worked as an office manager, at WordPerfect, Franklin Covey, then was director of human resources for two startup companies, ahha.com and OrangeSoda.com.

Co-sponsored by the BYU Alumni Association – St. George Chapter, this nondenominational program is free-of-charge and open to all residents and visitors in the community.

Alumni associations around the nation exist to extend the BYU experience beyond graduation and build lifelong relationships with alumni and friends. In Washington County, more than 6,000 residents claim allegiance to one of three BYU campuses.
