InfoWest helps customers stay ahead in today’s fast-paced digital world by offering reliable residential and business internet. With more people working, learning and communicating online than ever before, they’re committed to providing customers with the best network experience possible as technology marches on.

Fiber

Along with blazing speed, fiber provides unparalleled stability. It’s the gold standard of high-speed connectivity. InfoWest continues to deploy fiber to homes and businesses throughout the St. George and Cedar City areas, with speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second.

Cody Anderson, director of network operations for InfoWest, said that the company is rapidly expanding its fiber footprint in new developments. Fiber has unlimited potential; it’s a long-term investment that will provide customers with the capacity required for even higher data speeds in the future.

“We have a lot of plans for this year,” he added. “We’re expanding into different markets across Southern Utah and beyond.”

Fiberwave

Upgrading older neighborhoods to fiber requires tearing up roads and yards to lay new cable, a process that’s both expensive and time-consuming. But with new fiberwave packages from InfoWest, residential and business customers will soon be able to enjoy all the speed and stability of fiber wirelessly.

As technology continues to evolve and create new possibilities, InfoWest remains a leader in wireless connectivity. The company began installing fiberwave in select parts of St. George at the beginning of the year. Speeds start at 100 megabits per second and can reach as fast as 1 Gbps.

“Being able to push the gigabit speeds wirelessly is tremendous,” said Ross Cape, director of tower operations for InfoWest. “It’s a game-changer for us because we don’t have to retrofit a whole town.”

Managed router services

InfoWest also provides managed router services for residential customers. Managed routers have all the bells and whistles, including 1 Gbps capability, dual-band connectivity and Voice over Internet Protocol ports.

Customers can also install the InfoWest Connect Plus app on their smartphones to track data usage and limit kids’ access to the internet. InfoWest monitors the router remotely, automatically providing security updates as they become available.

“If they’re ever having trouble, they can call us,” Anderson said. “Often, we can take care of it over the phone.”
