The all-region team had co-MVPs this year as Desert Hills senior Ellie Hendrix, bound for Utah State, earned the recognition.

After Desert Hills fell in the 4A quarterfinals to Snow Canyon, Thunder coach Benji Nelson called Hendrix “probably the best soccer player ever at Desert Hills, boys and girls.”

Meanwhile, Crimson Cliffs senior center back Sam Park collected all region MVP honors as well.

“She led our team both on and off the field,” Crimson Cliffs coach Kat Esplin told St. George News about Park. “She can defend anyone and showed that all four of her years at Crimson.

“She is one of the hardest working student-athletes I’ve ever coached and she is an even better teammate.”

Many of the players on the all region list will be playing at the next level and have already committed to play for colleges.

Here is a breakdown of the All Region 9 girls soccer team, as voted on by coaches.
