Many of the area’s largest enterprises trust InfoWest for redundancy, capacity and resilience. Put the power of their network to work for your business, large or small.

“We’ve always looked at ourselves as a company that can support your business,” said Ryon Bowler, sales director and special projects manager for InfoWest. “We provide customers with the products and services they need, and we’re driven by what makes sense for their business.”

Fiber internet

Fiber is the gold standard of business internet, offering blazing speeds along with unparalleled stability. InfoWest continues to expand its fiber footprint by deploying high-speed connectivity to workplaces throughout the St. George and Cedar City areas.

Driven by customer demand, InfoWest now offers business fiber speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second. Bowler said that having more bandwidth available is essential for companies that need to get a lot of people online, such as hotels and campgrounds.

As technology continues to evolve, upgrading fiber networks in Southern Utah to accommodate even higher data speeds in the future will be as easy as swapping out the lasers on each side of the connection. The potential of fiber is virtually limitless.

“We have the ability to completely cover your needs now,” Bowler said. “We can do that either as a direct connection on fiber or with our dedicated wireless internet when fiber isn’t available.”

FiberWave internet

As new possibilities emerge in business technology, InfoWest remains a leader among wireless connectivity providers. The company started installing FiberWave in Washington County at the beginning of this year.

Upgrading older infrastructure to fiber requires tearing up roads and yards to lay new cable, a process that’s both expensive and time-consuming. But with the FiberWave option, business customers can enjoy all the speed and stability of fiber wirelessly. InfoWest can deploy FiberWave to any regular service area.

“Downtown St. George is always going to be tough,” Bowler said. “That’s where the wireless service really shines through, because it allows us to cover so much more area at a much more efficient cost and still deliver gigabit speeds.”

InfoWest uses a proprietary frequency acquired through the FCC to bring FiberWave to Southern Utah. Speeds of up to 10 Gbps are available in specific areas. Bowler said FiberWave offers all the speed and reliability, plus the same 99.99% network uptime guarantee, as traditional fiber services.

Internet redundancy

You have insurance to cover your business, but what about your internet connection? Workplaces across Southern Utah trust InfoWest for redundancy to keep them online in the event of a service interruption or outage.

With redundancy, InfoWest installs a secondary connection that runs on a different backbone than the customer’s primary connection. When the primary connection is lost, automatic failover keeps things running smoothly as everything shifts to the backup. InfoWest offers redundancy services regardless of whether businesses use them or another provider for their primary connection.

InfoWest uses multiple fiber routes out of the area to keep customers connected even if one pathway fails. The company also offers 24/7 priority tech support for business subscribers.

Remote setup and security

InfoWest specializes in temporary connectivity for companies on the go. They have the flexibility to set up remote internet for construction sites and new developments as well as special events like the upcoming Washington County Fair and Ironman World Championship.

“We get to places that a lot of traditional carriers can’t reach,” Bowler said.

InfoWest also offers security alarms and video surveillance for business parks and small businesses. Using the latest artificial intelligence video technology, subscribers can be notified when the presence of vehicles and/or people is detected. Customers may access the video feed with their smartphone to check on their property at any time.
